STATISTICAL PROFILE OF ENGINEERING

According to the National Science Foundation's 2016 Science and Engineering Indicators, the average annual salary for engineers in the US rose from $89,500 in 2011 to $94,250 in 2014. It's 2% annual growth rate is among the highest of the science, technology and related occupations published in the study. Only doctors and technical writers have a higher growth rate among the dozens of fields in the study.
